North Korea will make a second try at putting an apparent spy satellite into orbit between Thursday and Aug. 31, the Japanese government said Tuesday, after a failed attempt in May.
The Japanese government demanded that the North cease its launch preparations and said it was cooperating with the U.S., South Korea and other concerned nations.
The Japan Coast Guard urged vessels operating during the time period in a broad swath of waters, which includes the Yellow Sea, East China Sea and area east of the Philippines Luzon Island, to exercise caution.
