Gaborone — The trio of Kagiso Rabothako, Kennedy Segole and Aron Kulobe going by stage, Heroshima music group has dropped an Afro House single track, A re yeng.

The track composed in Setswana and Seshona languages; is catchy and the beats complimented with well-arranged lyrics that has the ability to captivate listeners.

In an interview, founder of the group, Rabothako alias Mavivo, said the track was recorded and produced at African Studios in Gaborone and was released last month.

He said they worked jointly with Keemenao Maibi aka DJ Flyer on the track’s production.

Mavivo, Wizard of the Desert music group ex-dancer, said they released the track in pursue of ancestral calling.

“Prior to releasing the track we, prayed and were given a sign, which we believed was from our ancestors not to shun our tradition,” he said.

As such, he said the title of the song, A re yeng intended to depicts their journey into the entertainment industry led by their ancestral spirits.

He said the track was an indication that the group was willing to go wherever the spirit led them, either at the deserts or caves as long as the places to be traversed gave out entertainment.

He said though they used beats from traditional instruments to keep up African zest, they had incorporated them well with other beats from modern music instruments for a mesmeric feel.
